Help us make a difference in a survivor's recovery!
From now to April 27th, we are collecting the items below to help survivors of sexual assault. After an assault and the collection of evidence, which can take any where from 4-8 hours, a sexual assault survivor's clothes are taken because they are now part of that evidence. Some times, the survivor is able to call someone to have clean clothes brought to them, but for a variety of reasons, many are not able, or do not have someone to call. When that occurs, they leave the hospital in whatever the hospital can find, or in worst case scenarios, a hospital gown. And that really does happen. We want to provide comfort to survivors before they even leave the hospital to help aid in their recovery. Please reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions or would like to help.
Donations can always be dropped off at our office in Larkin, we will be confirming and setting up sites for April in the coming weeks. The list below is from 2018 and we anticipate the same sites, with some possible new additions!
On April 27th, we will hold a kit creation day! If you would like to volunteer, please fill out the form below. Kit creation will be held from 1pm - 5pm at:
