Mission Statement
To
provide women who have been victims of rape or sexual assault with
services to assist victims and their families in attending a court
trial. Recognizing the undue financial burden imposed on the victim
and family, the foundation offers a limited amount of financial
assistance to defray costs of transportation and housing, in order
that the family may attend and take part in the criminal justice
proceedings and support the victim at this most difficult time.
We want to encourage sexual assault victims to report to law enforcement
and promote effective prosecution of sex crimes.
The Department
of Justice estimates that only 30% of rapes and sexual assaults
are ever reported. Of those reported, only 20% of the cases are
prosecuted.

of Justice Statistics, US Department of Justice, 1994-2001.
